Finally! A single location where the Home Inventory Professional (HIP) can receive training, business tips, referrals, and benefits while sharing their expertise and experience; AND where consumers can find local reputable, pre-screened, and trust worthy HIPs, and learn what to expect from a third party professional home inventory.

Most important: The Inventory Institute provides a place where the consumer can share their home inventory experiences with potential customers.

Our Mission...Along with our members, we aspire to set nationwide standards and ethics for the field of Third Party Professional Inventory, provide a vehicle for the ethical Inventory Professional to receive training and establish a strong community of peers while providing a forum for open consumer education, communication, and referral services.

The Consumer...as more people try to find creative ways to make money, consumers need to be extra cautious who is granted access to their home and possessions. Each member of the The Inventory Institute is pre-screened, must submit annual proof of insurance, bonding, and back ground check and agrees to strictly adhere to The Inventory Professional's Code of Ethics. Each member has also completed the Certified Home Inventory Professional (CHIP) progam; a hands on, intensive, and comprehensive program where the HIP incorporates their unique inventory experiences and expertise into a broader scope of general principals, ethics, and standards.

The HIP...as rapidly as the industry is changing, HIPs need to prepare for the future, and remain a constant, trustworthy, and competent source to help protect the integrity and reputation of this new and dynamic field. Our HIPs are top-notch professionals who hold each other to the highest professional standards.

Membership in The Inventory Institute, allows HIPs to participate in the collective experience, wisdom, and lessons learned of all members as we work together to set the highest standards and most trusted reputation for the strength and longevity of the third party inventory profession.
